Mother’s Day card

I’m dating this to publish after Mother’s Day – she may be back to checking my blog !!

DSCF2144

I am really pleased with this – lots of o-o-o-o-o-ld techniques and stamps that I used at the start of my stamping journey, and you forget how gorgeous they can be ! I was completely inspired by Jacqueline from  Jacqueline’s Craft Nest, although I can’t find the card I was specifically inspired by – sorry ! But her site is a gorgeous way to get some inspiration !

So my old techniques – alcohol ink on glossy card (then couldn’t remember what ink you needed to stamp with on glossy !) and versamark ‘shadowing’ on the base card

* images – floral ones are all old Hero Arts ( from over 10 yrs ago probably !)

* sentiment ? – one of the first I ever bought as just rubber, when that option wasnt even really available in the UK !

I hope Mum likes it !

Pink Birthday

Margaret CThis is a birthday card for my bestie, Liz. It’s a CASE of this card by Chat ( cool name !!) LOTSA layering !

*Images: Mehndi Medallion Mini Set by Papertrey Ink

*Sentiment: old Hero Arts  – this is one of the first stamps I ever bought !

Perfect male card!

Okay, maybe not my version but this one I CASEd certainly hits the button ! Neutral enough to give to any male !

I’ve used it to make 3 cards, 1 birthday and 2 thank-yous. The thank-you cards are going to my Pastor and the chairman of our church as they were both very supportive last week when I got baptised.

Anyhow, trying to fit some inking into pauses of frantic cleaning and organising – back to school on Monday !

Stamps: Tree – Lovely As A Tree, Stampin’Up – birds ?

Sentiments : Thanks  – Hero Arts (retired), Birthday Wishes – Teeny Trees, Waltzing Mouse, Bible Text – SmARTworks ( I think  – company gone now )

A ‘successful’ card

This is a card for my boss who retires this week. She has been amazingly supportive over the seven years I have worked with her and will be a very hard act to follow.  Here’s the card;

Margaret C

I CASE’d it from Janet over at Swanlady Impressions – such a beautiful card just called to me !

The main sentiment stamp on this is one that I love. It was possibly the first sentiment stamp I ever bought and it is surprisingly useful – I have made thank-you cards, retirement and sympathy cards with it. The one problem with it is that the rubber was mounted slighty off on the wood, making it a nightmare to stamp straight ! I recently bought a stamp positioner and that made ALL the difference ! No more wasted card !

Ummm….the other problem with this card is that I have no idea what the stamp company is – there is no info on the label – sorry !

* close text script is Hero Arts, as are the flowers.

* white embossed leavy vines is Judikins cube

Mega tired…

But fighting it 😦

Here’s a card that I am entering for two challenges, the A Passion For Papertrey  – Inky Love Required, and – a new site for me – Tuesday Morning Sketches. Deets below;

Images: Cling Dots are by Hero Arts, last circle is all Tags-Its #10 from Papertrey Ink, a set I have never used before, so it qualifies for APFP challenge !

This card is based on this week’s challenge in Tuesday Morning Sketches #171 so I am entering it there too !
