Nana’s 90th…

…requires something special. So I did something I have never done before – I downloaded an ENTIRE card to simply cut out and put together….

Now, honestly, I have been snooty about these in the past – honestly, cut and stick ?? Not really much skill required for that… – but I needed something spectacular, and I simply wasn’t going to manage that myself. My still mushy brain is full just by coping with school and working out how to get enough rest. No power left to devise a fabulous card. And I am still knackered – I come home from school and sleep. It’s been a month since I made any cards. So, what’s a girl to do ? Simples – use someone else’s talents and skills !

I had seen an ad for the CraftsUPrint website in a mag and decided to have a look. I quickly realised that I could probably get the fabulous design I wanted, because there are some really intricate card designs on there. I settled for Carol Dunne’s Deluxe Cascade. Now, I know that what you see in a photo and what you might actually get are two different things, but this is what the kit made:

Honestly, it was pretty close to what was advertised ( I printed it out best quality on photo paper ) I added a couple of my own details, and was really satisfied with what I ended up with.

So, am I sold on cut and print cards ? Nope. But I can see the point of them – and this time, it was perfect for me.

Incidentally, want to know what Nana got for her birthday ? A trip to St Kilda – the most remote island off the north west coast of Scotland. The website itself says : Getting to St Kilda is not easy, but those who are persistent can find a variety of ways to achieve their goal Yup. I said 90th birthday…..

Very different from your usual style but v.appropriate for an elegant, feisty lady.
